2016 was the year that Renault launched their fourth generation Mégane and it was very well received by the public. The car was lowered, all its creases got deeper and the front fascia got much sportier and more modern altogether. All in all, the redesign was a success and as we all know that success leaves a taste for more. So for the 2017 model year Renault brings the Renault Mégane sedan and Sport Tourer. RS is a shortened term for a range of automobile-related products. To start with, RS can stand for Rennsport, a German word used by Audi to distinguish their high performance versions of regular models.
The term RS is also used by the French Renault to define their high performance hot hatch models. In this case RS basically means the same, but stands for Renault Sport.

The rally sport distinguishes itself by not running a circuit, but using checkpoints which the co-driver guides the driver to. The cars leave at set times in between and the winner is the team that finishes the parcours in the shortest time.

This is a popular model, because it’s relatively small, agile and light, but does have a decent amount of power in the throttle. Renault is looking to expand its range of models with the new 2017 Renault Megane RS and since their car park didn’t consist of this type of crossover the hatchback was a logical choice. Their other pièce de résistance is the Renault…
