Jaguar Cars, the world-renowned luxury car brand, is on the move. It has been known for its sophisticated automobiles such as their flagship car, the XJ model. This model has been in the running since the 1960s and has had many cosmetic makeovers over the years. As a result, it adapted to the changing wishes of their distinctive clientele. Their customers consisted mostly of successful businesspeople and the wealthy upper middle-class. Their wishes developed, and so did Jaguar. It is really quite remarkable how well they have always anticipated on the sometimes capricious designing trends, visible in their latest 2017 Jaguar XF. This is undoubtedly one of the main reasons that Jaguar Cars has never had any existential problems, they have even survived the toughest of financial crises.
With the official release of the 2017 Jaguar XF, the brand has not let the public down. According to their flexible and adaptive vision this model has been completely renewed. This car will surely give vehicles like the BMW 5 series a run for their moeny.
Exterior styling has been updated in an evolutionary way. More stylized headlights, a smoother roofline and an adjusted back inspired by the smaller Jaguar XE sedan, make the XF appear more graceful. The adjusted rear makes the whole car take on a profile reminiscent of the brand new redesigned 2017 Porsche Panamera luxury car exterior. Two seperate exhausts will be on either side of the rear of the car.
Another vital change in the XF exterior is that the steel body will be replaced by a much more lightweight aluminum body.
The 2017 Jaguar XF has understood the minimal trend and rocks an almost buttonless wing-shaped dashboard, a multifunctional steering wheel and a touch screen center console, just like the one in the upscale interior and tech department of the 2017 Jaguar XE. A touch of wood in the sign gives the interior a relaxed and earthy feel. Of course, one of the many options a customer can choose from is an interior upgrade, where more luxury, personal taste and leather seats can be picked.
The spacious cabin from last year will return too, granting all passengers, short or tall, ample room for their legs and heads. The standard infotainment screen is an eight inch touch screen and comes with an eight speaker audio system. Optional is a 10.2 inch touch screen.
The 2017 Jaguar XF will be offered to the public with a range of choice in engines. The basic XF will feature two supercharged 3.0L V6 engines and can make up to 340 horsepower. One category above that will be an engine that can make 380 horsepower. If that’s not enough for you there will also be the choice of a supercharged V8 engine later on in 2017. If all this horsepower scares you a little then there’s also a four-cylinder gas or diesel engine to choose from.
The diesel engines offer the option of a manual transmission, besides the standard automatic. All other engines only have the automatic transmission. For a more powerful engine, take a look at the 542 horsepower V8 engine of the 2018 Jaguar F-Pace SVR SUV crossover.
The touch screen in the middle of the dashboard will be featuring the InControl Touch infotainment system and smartphone integration. Also, Bluetooth Phone Connectivity and Audio Streaming are standard tech features. Standard safety features include: Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Pedestrian Contact Sensing System. The latter automatically folds the hood of the car when a pedestrian is hit and releases an air bag.
More details for this great car will follow in the upcoming year, stay tuned!
