The Bentley Continental GT is a car model that saw its last thorough redesign in 2011, two years after its initial release. For 2018, this model will be accordingly tweaked and updated to earn the name Supersports. The Supersports name has been used by Bentley since the 1920s, making any Supersports version an instant classic. This particular Supersports version definitely lives up to its name, it’s the fastest and most powerful Continental GT released to date. All in all, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports is a catch already.
Moreover, the 2018 Supersports is released six years after the standard model. The marketing value here is obvious, since Bentley has done this trick before with an earlier Supersports vehicle. That one was also released six years after the standard model, and two years before that model was discontinued. So, with the third generation Continental waiting in line to be released in 2018, the 2018 Continental GT Supersports is the public’s last shot to acquire this high-end edition of the second generation Continental GT. The trick worked in the past, and we’re sure it will work again this time around.
Of course, the Continental GT Supersports is a supercar, but still offers a purely luxury appearance. Unlike, for example, the emperor of sports supercars, the 2018 Bugatti Chiron.

The exterior of the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports is very similar to its 2009 standard sibling. The front of the Supersports varies in the lower air vents, which take on a more elegant shape. The rest of the nose is practically the same, with the characteristic Bentley grille and round headlights.
The side distinguishes itself by the brand new 21 inch wheels, which are 44 pounds (20 kgs) lighter than the standard wheels. In addition, the door handles and windows have a black hue over them and optional are side decals.
The rear of the car surprises with a carbon-fiber diffuser on the bumper, black surrounded taillights and glossy black exhausts. The rear spoiler is optional and a must-have for the racing car aficionados.
Around sixty exterior colours are up for choice, including many different hues and finishes. Don’t forget that the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports will also become available as a convertible! This will produce a whole different exterior for this fancy coupe. Another luxury car that is both available as a fixed roof and convertible is the stylish and minimalistic 2017 Range Rover Evoque.
The interior options and overall look carry over almost unchanged from the standard Continental GT. What is new is the racing seats upholstery, which is a three tone seat covering. The leather is dark grey, white and raspberry red, with diamond quilted red stitching tying the look together.
The white colour returns as a line on the doorpanels and dashboard and the floor mats come with red edges. Also, the cabin is full of Supersports emblems and the red accent returns on the steering wheel.
The passenger’s side dashboard has a chequered pattern carbon fiber insert, or any other insert you’d prefer. Moreover, a large infotainment screen embellishes the centre.
The convertible GT Supersports will come with special neck heating, which will make it that much more comfortable to take it out for a drive in spring and autumn.
This interior is one of the most luxurious and classy ones we have seen as of late. The three-toned seats make the car look fresh and very individual, which is only fitting for a Bentley. Other interior colour options are plenty as well, almost too much to choose from!
The engine in the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports is a twin turbo, 6.0 liter W12 engine. It is turbocharged and makes use of a revised charge air cooling system. The car is rated at 700 horsepower, which is a 74 hp increase from the Continental GT Speed. The 0 to 60 mph is 3.4 seconds and top speed lies at 209 mph (337 kph). In terms of HP and luxury, this car finds its American competitor in the outstanding 2018 Chrysler 300 with the familiar silhouette. That car will get the famous 707 HP HellCat engine and matches the luxurious lay-out and styling of the Continental.
Moreover, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports features All Wheel Drive with a rear-wheel based powering. This means the rear wheels always get 60% of the total torque output, which makes for an extra sporty feel.
Finally, the 2018 Bentley Continental GT Supersports is blessed with high performance carbon-ceramic and improved cooled brakes.
Optional in a package is a rear view camera and a valet key. Furthermore, many safety features are standard on the 2018 Continental GT Supersports. A definite must-have!
